Q1: What is the essential difference between magnetic float level switch and magnetic level gauge with alarm/reed switch?

A: Magnetic level gauge with alarm or reed switch takes magnetic flapper level display as the main body, switch is an additional accessory, it can view real-time liquid height while realizing alarm interlock, suitable for large storage tanks. Magnetic float level switch has no liquid display panel at all, it is a pure control component only used for high/low level on-off actions, smaller size and lower cost, used for small barrels, water tanks that do not need liquid observation.

Q2: Can magnetic float level switch realize multi-point segmented level signal output like reed switch type magnetic level gauge?

A: Conventional versions only support 1~2 limit points, multi-point customized scheme is available but cost advantage will disappear; if you need 3 or more segmented level signals to access PLC system, magnetic level gauge with reed switch is more recommended.

Q3: Will viscous medium cause float stuck failure?

A: The float adopts streamlined anti-adhesion structure. For viscous medium with viscosity higher than 5×10⁻⁴ ㎡/s, we will match large-diameter floating ball to reduce adhesion probability.

Q4: Can this float switch be refitted with display panel later to view liquid level?

A: Its guide stem structure is specially designed for built-in reed layout, reserved space for flapper indicator is not available, cannot be modified into magnetic level gauge with display function.

Q5: Is stainless steel float applicable for hydrofluoric acid and strong alkali medium?

A: Stainless steel will be corroded by hydrofluoric acid, PVDF full plastic float should be selected for HF, caustic soda working conditions.

Q6: Can float switch work normally in vibrating equipment environment?

A: Internal reed is fixed firmly, matched with damping float structure, it can resist normal mechanical vibration of water pumps and production lines without false triggering.

Q7: Why can the gauge resist up to 400℃ while the alarm switch only supports 120℃?

A: The main measuring tube & float directly contact process liquid and adopt high-temperature alloy & samarium-cobalt magnetic steel for high temperature resistance. The reed alarm switch contains electronic components with a natural temperature limit of 120℃. When medium temperature exceeds 120℃, we install heat insulation spacers between the guide rail and measuring pipe to isolate heat transfer, keeping the switch working environment within 120℃ safely without affecting magnetic triggering.
