What is magnetic level gauge?

A magnetic level gauge is a level sensor that uses the buoyancy of water and the magnetic repulsion of magnets to measure the liquid level. These properties allow for integration with automation systems, enabling remote monitoring of liquid levels. Due to its cost-effectiveness and reliability in measuring constantly changing liquid levels, magnetic level gauges have begun to be widely used in many industries.

How does a magnetic level gauge work?

The working principle of a magnetic level gauge is based on a composite container. Therefore, the liquid level in the measuring chamber is the same as the liquid level in the tank. A float with a magnet is located inside the measuring tube. As the float moves up and down inside the tube, the direction and color of the baffle (the baffles are painted different colors) change. This allows us to visually observe the liquid level. By connecting the level indicator to a digital control device, the liquid level value can be remotely monitored through an automation system.

Features and Benefits

The indicator's aluminum or stainless steel housing can be assembled to any length and installed in the optimal viewing position.

Colored Magnetic Sheets

A 25mm wide red and white magnetic sheet remains magnetically locked in the vertical position until it is displaced by the stronger magnetic force of the float magnet.

Automatic Float Alarm

The color of the magnetic sheet at the bottom of the indicator reverses. If the float reaches this position, the magnetic sheet will clearly indicate a float malfunction again.

Sealed Float: Made of reinforced stainless steel, titanium, or corrosion-resistant plastic.

Sealed Chamber: Made of stainless steel tubing.

Interface: This level gauge is ideal for measuring liquid interfaces. The float has multiple specific gravities to accommodate different measured liquids.

Point Switch: The switch can be installed at any position on the level gauge to provide high, low, and intermediate point signals.

Remote Display Transmission and Monitoring: Suitable as a complete original equipment kit or for retrofitting existing magnetic level gauges.

Versatility: The magnetic level gauge has a simple design principle and can be flexibly adapted to various installation requirements. The gauge can be manufactured in virtually unlimited lengths and shapes.
